About Dunia (01)

We exist to capitalise African creativity.

Dunia is a sector-specialist fund. We don't just write cheques — we build the financing, infrastructure and access that turn African creative talent into companies the world can't ignore.

The thesis (02)

Africa has the world's youngest population and a culture the planet already consumes — yet almost none of the capital.

Afrobeats tops global charts. Nollywood is the world's second-largest film industry by volume. African fashion, design and gaming are shaping culture far beyond the continent. The talent and the demand are not in question.

What's missing is capital that understands creative businesses, and infrastructure to make their value ownable, exportable and durable. Traditional equity alone doesn't fit catalogues, rights and royalties. Generalist funds don't have the networks. That gap is our entire reason to exist.

We invest sector by sector, with specialists who have built and scaled in each, so founders get money and the operating muscle to win globally.
